Falls Freshman Posts Top-10 Finish in State Wrestling Debut
Billy Holz takes sixth place in his first appearance at state.
Menomonee Falls High School freshman Billy Holz posted a strong finish in his first appearance at the WIAA State Wrestling Tournament held this weekend in Madison.
In his debut performance on the state stage, Holz placed in sixth out of 16 wrestlers in the 106-pound weight class. Holz defeated Nick Denny from Wausau East in the first round, but lost in his next match in the winner's bracket. Holz strung two more wins together in the tournament, but lost his next two to finish in sixth.
Holz finished 45-6 on the year in an impressive first season on the team.

Falls junior Ayoola Olapo also participated in the state individual tournament. However, he was ousted in the opening round of the 182-pound division by Ryan Jazdzewski of Burlington. Olapo was 27-6 on the season.
