Falls Resident Completes Scorching Boston Marathon
Pete Foy, 55, finished the marathon in 5 1/2 hours Monday. It was a day when more than 2,000 runners sought medical attention due to the hot weather.

It was windy and cool in Wisconsin Monday, but out east in Boston temperatures rose into mid 80s making the annual Boston Marathon a brutal race just to finish.
Roughly 22,500 runners registered for the event, and 4,300 opted to sit the race out. Of those that braved the temperatures, 2,041 sought medical attention and roughly 120 runners were sent to the hospital, according to the Huffington Post.
However, 55-year-old Menomonee Falls resident Pete Foy stayed cool during the run and finished the 26.2-mile race. Foy finished the marathon with a time of 5 hours, 33 minutes, and 29 seconds. He kept a pace of 12:44 per mile.
