Holy Cross Welcomes New Music Director, Dr. Curt Sather

welcomed Dr. Curt Sather as its new Director of Music, Organist, and Choir Director. 

Sather began playing organ in church at the age of 12 and has performed in concerts throughout the United States as well as playing in many of the cathedrals in Europe.

Sather received degrees in organ performance from Arizona State University and his doctorate in Organ Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. After serving 13 years as Organist and Choir Master at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Scottsdale, AZ, he spent four years in the monastery of San Miniato al Monte, Florence, Italy, serving as organist.

Sather will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4 at Holy Cross. The public is cordially invited to attend. He will perform works of J.S. Bach, Mozart and Handel. A reception will follow the concert with coffee and dessert. A free will offering will be received.
