Letter to the Editor: I Support Dave Noshayβs Bid for Re-election
I've watched Dave Noshay in action since he was elected to his first term. Here's why I am voting for Dave and encourage readers to do the same.

I support Dave Noshayβs bid for re-electionΒ to the MF School BoardΒ on April 3. IΒ am theΒ parentΒ of twoΒ childrenΒ whoβve beenΒ inΒ our schools for 11 years. Having been very involved in their education andΒ in the district,Β Iβve watched Dave Noshay in action since he was electedΒ to his first term.Β Hereβs why I am voting for Dave and encourage readers to do the same:
Dave is part of a board that has faced many major and complex issues andΒ decisionsΒ recently.Β They have spearheaded manyΒ advancementsΒ in learning such as opening the Early Childhood Center and launching newΒ academies at the high school. Dave helped preside over the closing of schools and redistricting in order to save taxpayer funds and run theΒ districtΒ more efficiently. They negotiated a contract that resulted in changing health carriers from WEA Trust to Humana,Β in increasing employee contributionsΒ and in vastly reducing post-employment health benefits. Β
These moves will saveΒ the district millions.Β This Board and Dave Noshay searchedΒ long andΒ hard and recruited a new superintendent who is moving the district forward in the areas theyΒ prioritized--Β improving student performance and employee accountability and advancing the district strategically. Β IβdΒ say itβs been a veryΒ productiveΒ few years for the Board and Dave plays an importantΒ role in that.

Dave Noshay is not a school board member because he has a political agenda or an ax to grind. He believes in the nonpartisan nature of school board work and is committed to considering the facts and making decisions without regard to politicsΒ or todayβs environment. Dave wants to work with people on all sides to make our district great.
Dave is someone with a lot of integrity. He admits that the district and board have made some process mistakes in the past but stands by theirΒ decisions because he believes they wereΒ made in good faith and areΒ in the best interest of our children and the district.

Daveβs Β business skills in operations, marketing, planning and finance are invaluable to the district. While he believes the districtΒ shouldΒ employ some business practices inΒ itsΒ operations, he understandsΒ howΒ schools are different andΒ theirΒ unique roleΒ in our society.
Letβs continue theΒ school districtβsΒ positiveΒ momentum by re-electing Dave Noshay to the Menomonee Falls School Board.Β Β He deserves a second term.
