Local Dance Studio Receives National Recognition
Local student Lori Rosmann danced in a competition that had over 10,000 entries, and earned second-place honors.
On any given day, hundreds of thousands of individuals are getting lucky in Las Vegas. However, one dancers success out in the desert was based on skill alone.Β
In April the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Menomonee Falls travelled to the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Despite the studio being open only two months, local student Lori Rosmann danced in a competition that had over 10,000 entries.
In her age category she placed secondΒ in the Open Scholarship Division. Partnered by studio owner Tim Brooks, she went on to receive several medals in various other categories.

The former Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Menomonee Falls closed almost two years ago. The new location at N87W17317Β Main St., is now a spacious 6,000-square-foot facility.Β
The studio has cooperated with Organization Citizens Advocate of Washington County, which is a nonprofit to prepare two local dancers to compete in aΒ βdancing with the starsβ style event to be held at the Chandelier Ballroom in Hartford on May 10.
