Menomonee Falls' Jessica Szohr Dropped From 'Gossip Girl'

Online reports indicate that Menomonee Falls native Jessica Szohr has been dropped from her role on the show “Gossip Girl.”

A source close to the show confirmed the development with an entertainment blog with the Los Angeles Times Thursday. Szohr, who plays Vanessa Abrams, and co-star Taylor Momsen, who plays Jenny Humphrey, were being let go.

According to the report, Szohr's character on the show hasn't been involved in major plot lines on the show. Her character also revealed that she will be leaving town to study abroad.

However, according to Popeater.com, Szohr is set to appear in the movie “I Don't Know How She Does It ” with Hollywood heavyweights like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelsey Grammer.

Szohr graduated a semester early from Menomonee Falls High School to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles. Szohr's family still lives here in the village.
