Obituary: Richard Wegner
Richard was a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne and fought for his country in the D-Day Invasion through the Battle of the Bulge.

August 6, 1924 - April 23, 2013
Richard J. Wegner found eternal peace on April 23, 2013 at the age of 88 and joined his late wife Doris. Loving dad of Pauline (the late Jeff) Mendyk, Thomas “Shorty” (Victoria) Wegner the late Terry (Debra) Slater, Kathleen (the late Tom) Rowe, Dennis (LuAnn) Slater, and Bill (Kelly) Slater. Proud grandpa of Jeremiah, Joshua, Karen, Dan, Matt, Patrick, Julia, Angela, Brandon, Jennifer, Tom, Ali, Mackenzie and Sarah. Great-grandfather of 7. brother of Jack (Joan) Wegner. Longtime friend of Norbert Vogl and Mary Knutson. Preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday at 10-11 a.m. April 26 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, N88W17658 Christman Rd. Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Linden Grove, the Arboretum and Horizon Hospice, especially Spike, Lilly, Jackie and Stephanie for brightening his days.
