Obituary: Ronald Bernoski

Ronald attended and graduated from the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He served his country as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves during Desert Storm.

March 21, 1940 - April 29, 2012

Hon. Ronald G. Bernoski, of Lisbon, passed away on Sunday, April 29 at the age of 72 years. Loving husband of Patricia (nee Luedke). Proud father of Robin (Dan) Zitzke and Ronna (Brian) Van Hoof. Grandfather “Papa” of Taylor William, Matthew George, and Emma Anne.  

Preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Ann (nee Skorka) Bernoski.

Ronald attended and graduated from the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He served his country as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves during Desert Storm. He also worked as an Administrative Law Judge for more than 30 years and was the president of their professional association.  

In his freetime, Ronald was an avid baseball fan and attended all his grandchildrens’ sporting events.

Visitation for Ronald will be held on from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at the Schmidt and Bartelt funeral home. Private entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.  

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan). 

Special thanks to the staff of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, The Cancer Center of Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Virginia G. Piper Healthcare Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, and Horizon Healthcare for the care and concern shown to Ronald during his two and one-half year battle with pancreatic cancer.
