Russel E. Brawner

February 22, 1943 - June 13, 2012

Russel E. Brawner of Germantown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the age of 69 years at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.  

Russel was born on February 22, 1943 in Moline, IL to Charles and Velmadene Brawner. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Loving husband of forty-seven years to Sharon (nee Behling). Cherished father of Brian (Signe) and Todd. Dear grandfather of Blake, Drew, and Martin Brawner, and Kirsten and Klaire DeQuardo. Brother to Diana Gastrau and Charlene Sue Rott. Son-in-law to Reuben Behling, brother-in-law to Rebecca Moselle and also to Perry Behling. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.  

Russel was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law Arelene Behling.  

Russ was proud of his service in the USAF and his twenty-four years as the owner of R.B. Trucking. He enjoyed coaching his boys in Little League and treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. 

The “Wiley Crafty Veteran Of The Lanes” is back in form.  

Graveside services with military honors for Russ will be held at Last Home Cemetery (Pilgrim Rd. between Fond du Lac Ave and Mequon Rd.) at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 with the Rev. Dennis Wieland officiating. (Please meet at the cemetery.) Gathering to follow at the family’s residence.
