Officers End Four-Hour Standoff Peacefully
An armed man refusing to come out of his home Monday morning was subdued by the SWAT team in the 14000 block of Good Hope Road.

A nearly four-hour standoff ended peacefully Monday morning in Menomonee Falls after a tactical unit was called in to subdue an armed 28-year-old man.
According to Menomonee Falls police:
The man’s mother called the Police Department at 1:12 a.m. and said she had fled her home on the 14000 block of Good Hope Road out of fear for her safety. She told officers her son was in the home armed with a sword and making threatening irrational statements.

Falls police officers and the Waukesha County sheriff's deputies formed a perimeter around the home and ordered him to come out. The man refused to come out, and officers saw that he was armed with a shoulder-fired weapon inside.
The tactical unit was then called in for assistance and the man left the home unarmed and was arrested. He was taken into custody at about 5 a.m.
