Police Beat: A Heroin Overdose and a BB Gun Vandal

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

At 9:10 p.m. April 5, a 24-year-old man was transported to after overdosing on heroin along the N7400 block of Stoneridge Drive. Officers placed a hold on the man while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Also in the reports:

  • An alarmed resident called police at 6:01 a.m. April 6 to report a suspicious vehicle parked in the front of her home on the N8500 block of Lannon Road. The woman had suspicions about the vehicle because she had been threatened the day before in Racine and wasn’t sure if it was the person who made the threat. The vehicle had a flat front tire and was later towed because it was a traffic hazard. Police were unable to contact the owner.
  • Sometime between 7 p.m. April 4 and 5:15 p.m. April 5, an unknown person damaged a window on the west side of . Police believe a metal BB was used to cause the damage, and the BB was located along Appleton Avenue.
  • Sometime between 5 p.m. April 5 and 8:14 p.m. April 7, a person stole three drainage grates from the rear of Autoquip, N57W13430 Reichert Ave.
  • At 9:54 p.m. April 7, officers stopped a 28-year-old driver on Appleton Avenue and Pilgrim Road while on an OWI grant. The man was stopped for speeding, but when officers searched the vehicle they found two open bottles of Heineken behind the driver seat. Officers also detected the smell of marijuana, and found a small amount of it in the vehicle. The man was cited for marijuana possession and open intoxicant.
  • Between March 28 and April 6, an unknown suspect stole a locked Schwinn mountain bike outside of .
