Incidents in the Menomonee Falls police reports.

With nine stray cats roaming freely in his neighborhood, a 64-year-old man attempted to take matters into his own hands But after taking a step forward Monday he may have ended up back where he started.

The man lives on the W16000 block of Laurel Lane, and has been trying to get rid of nine feline freeloaders in the neighborhood. On Monday, the man caught a large gray cat in an animal trap in his backyard. The man contacted the Menomonee Falls Police Department, and a police aide took the cat back to the station.

However, when the aide attempted to turn the cat over to HAWS at the station, the cat escaped from the cage and fled to the lower garage. The aide was unable to locate the cat, and another trap was set up in an attempt to catch it.
