UPDATE: Car Versus Motorcycle Accident on County Line Road and Appleton Avenue
According to police, the 43-year-old man Germantown man riding the motorcycle received non-life threatening injuries.
A 43-year-old Germantown man appears to have sustained non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a car while riding his motorcycle on Appleton Avenue and County Line Road Monday evening.
Menomonee Falls Police Captain Mark Waters said the department received the initial call at 8:54 p.m. regarding the accident. Waters said a 20-year-old Germantown man was driving the vehicle that struck the motorcycle.
Waters said when emergency crews initially arrived on the scene, it appeared the 43-year-old man’s injuries were life threatening and he was transported to a local hospital. However, Waters said it is now believed that the man’s injuries are non-life threatening. Waters said the man suffered several broken bones, and the extent of his internal injuries is unknown.

The man was not wearing a helmet, Waters said. Speed was also not a factor in the accident. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
According to the preliminary investigation by officers, it appeared that the 20-year-old failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle rider, who was traveling northbound on Appleton Avenue. The 20-year-old struck the man while attempting to make a left turn onto County Line Road from the southbound lane on Appleton Avenue.
