Village Of Monomonee Falls: Menomonee Falls Earns Wisconsin Healthy Communities Designation

Menomonee Falls has been recognized for its work to improve local health by receiving a Wisconsin Healthy Communities Designation. This program is intended to highlight and encourage achievements in health improvement in Wisconsin communities, and to promote cooperation across multiple sectors.

The Village applied for and received a Silver Level Wisconsin Healthy Communities Designation on behalf of Menomonee Falls Collective Impact. Collective Impact is a partnership of local organizations and volunteers who coordinate resources to improve the well-being of Village residents. 

Menomonee Falls is the only community in Waukesha County to receive a Wisconsin Healthy Communities Designation and is one of seven in southeast Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Healthy Communities Designation is an initiative offered by the Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH) group of the UW Population Health Institute (UWPHI), in collaboration with diverse statewide groups. The Healthy Communities Designation program, funded by the Wisconsin Partnership Program of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, is designed to recognize and encourage achievements in health improvement in Wisconsin.
