Conagra To Close Milwaukee Plant, Lay Off Workers

MILWAUKEE, WI — Chicago-based Conagra Brands Inc. plans to close its Milwaukee facility at 7620 N. 81st St. and lay off 190 employees who work there, according to a WARN notice filed by the company with the state.

The shutdown comes as the company aims to "improve efficiencies and effectiveness within its supply chain network."

Conagra’s decision to close the Milwaukee facility will affect 190 employees. The company expects to cease operations on April 2, 2021 — less than two weeks away.

According to the company, none of the employees are represented by a union nor do they have bumping rights.
