First Look At July 4th Forecast: WI Weather

MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin residents can now get their first look at the kind of weather to expect over the Fourth of July weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, the Fourth of July in the Milwaukee metro will feature: "a 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 84."

Patch will update the forecast as the holiday weekend approaches.

Here's the full NWS forecast from the Milwaukee Airport:

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 71. North wind around 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 53. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 73. Light east wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Monday Night: A slight chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 81. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tuesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Independence Day: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.
