Milwaukee Man Charged In Deadly Hit-And-Run Of Ex-University Dean
Jordan Jones has been charged in connection with the fatal accident that resulted in the death of Marquette University Dean Joseph Daniels.
MILWAUKEE, WI – The county district attorney’s office has issued criminal charges against a Milwaukee man in connection to a fatal accident that resulted in the death of Marquette University Dean Joseph Daniels.
Jordan Jones has been charged with one count of hit and run resulting in death and one count of knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended causing death.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 around 8:11 p.m. along the 1000 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.

Daniels, 60, was pronounced dead at Froedtert Hospital following the hit-and-run.
An autopsy revealed that Daniels died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash, which is consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle, police said.

"Dr. Daniels was a campus fixture for more than 30 years and inspired students as a mentor and educator, making an indelible impact on the field of economics as a master scholar. He helped take Marquette Business to new heights and was instrumental in inspiring a new vision for the college, which we will carry forward in his memory," the university said in a statement shortly after his death.
If convicted, Jones could face up to 31 years in prison and he may be fined up to $110,000.
The university has since established a memorial scholarship in Daniels' honor.
