• Construction begins on Snowmy Kromer at new location (wkow.com) — Minocqua’s giant Snowmy Kromer snowman is set to be rebuilt starting Tuesday, this time at a new home in Torpy Park. Standing about 30 feet tall and topped with a custom Stormy Kromer cap, the decades-old attraction depends on good snowfall and typically takes three days to complete, drawing visitors and photo-takers from across the Northwoods.
