Amazon Planning Distribution Center In Racine County

More than 200 delivery vans would go in-and-out of the facility per day.

STURTEVANT, WI — Amazon is seeking village approval to set up a 24/7 distribution center in Sturtevant that would employ at least 200 people.

According to meeting documents posted on the Village of Sturtevant website, village officials will consider final and conditional-use approvals for Amazon on Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m.

If planning commission members vote in favor of Amazon, the approvals will advance to the Village Board.

According to a Journal Times report, Amazon Logistics is hoping to operate out of a roughly 400,000 square-foot building at 11201 Enterprise Way in the Enterprise Business Park. The report mentioned that more than 200 delivery vans would go in-and-out of the facility per day and employ at least 225 workers.
