• Wisconsin ratepayers owe $1 billion on shuttered power plants (milwaukeenns.org) — Mount Pleasant residents should know that a massive Microsoft data center under construction in the village is helping drive utilities’ push for new power plants, while customers statewide already owe nearly $1 billion on closed coal plants. Regulators and advocates are debating who should pay for this new demand and how to avoid more long-term costs being passed on to ratepayers like you.
