I-94 Reopened In Racine After 3 Semis Crash Leaving 3 Injured
A crash caused a closure on Interstate 94 northbound in Racine Thursday during a winter storm warning amid other crashes near Oak Creek.

RACINE, WI — The northbound lanes of Interstate 94 in Caledonia were re-opened Thursday afternoon after a series of crashes in snowy conditions injured three and closed the highway, according to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The first crash happened near 7 Mile Road just before noon. A two-vehicle crash had caused a backup and as other vehicles slowed a semi-truck could not stop before it crashed into another semi-truck in front of it, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Both trucks ended up jackknifing, with one ending up in a ditch, WSP said. Meanwhile, a pickup truck hit another semi-truck, which then hit a box truck and a cargo van, WSP said. In total, three minor crashes occurred, and three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
