Garage Fire Shut Down Green Bay Road Sunday Night

According to fire officials, the fire caused $20,000 in damage to the building, and $5,000 in damage to the contents of the building.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — Traffic along South Green Bay Road was shut down for about an hour-and-a-half Sunday night as firefighters put out a garage fire, authorities said.

According to the South Shore Fire Department, fire crews were sent to a home on the 900 block of S. Green Bay Road just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday on a report of a fire.

According to reports, fire crews found smoke billowing from the roof and eaves of a detached two-car garage. Crews entered the garage and were able to put the fire out within about 12 minutes of arriving at the scene, fire officials said.
