Man Shot Near Park High School; Students Safe
Police said they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg.

RACINE, WI — Park High School in Racine was briefly put on lock down Tuesday afternoon after a man was shot in the leg near the school, police say.
According to Racine police, at just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, officers were sent to the 2300 block of 12th Street, near Cedar Bend Park just south of the Washington Park Golf Course and due east of the high school.
Police said they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Racine police say they're trying to find out more about what happened leading up to the shooting.
