Man Uses Fake Prescription to get Drugs

A Kenosha man faces prison for submitting reportedly fraudulent prescription to a Mount Pleasant pharmacist.

A Kenosha man reportedly got prescription painkillers from a grocery store pharmacy using a fake prescription.

Joseph E. Reschke, 37, Kenosha, is charged with three counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and four counts of felony personal identity theft for financial gain. If convicted he faces up to 21 years prison, plus time on extended supervision.

According to the criminal complaint, a pharmacist at Sentry, 5740 Washington Ave., said Reschke came into the pharmacy four times in May and June 2010 and presented prescriptions for oxycodone. Each was purportedly issued by a Kenosha physician.

On the first three occasions, the pharmacist said, Reschke received the painkiller. The fourth time, misspellings made the pharmacist suspicious, and he called the doctor to verify the prescription.

The doctor reportedly said the prescriptions were all frauds.
