MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — Oterra, a company that creates natural food coloring, is set to bring a facility and about 100 jobs to a building originally meant to house Foxconn in Mount Pleasant, according to reports.

The Mount Pleasant Village Board and Community Development Authority approved a development agreement last week, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel first reported. The building, located at 13315 Globe Drive, was built in 2016 for Foxconn, the report said.

"The Village remains committed to drawing high quality employers, like Oterra, to our community," Village President David DeGroot told Wisconsin Public Radio in a statement.

Oterra, which is based in Denmark, has around 750 employees across the globe. The company produces food colorings that seek to appeal to a demand for natural food products, according to its website.
