Workers At CNH Industrial In Racine Go On Strike: Reports
Members of United Auto Workers Local 180 in Racine went on strike Monday, according to a news release from the union and reports.

RACINE, WI — Members of United Auto Workers Local 180 who work at Case CNH Industrial in Racine went on strike Monday after negotiations with the company failed, according to a news release the union posted to Facebook.
The union said over 1000 workers in Racine and in Burlington, Iowa, have set up pickets. Employees were seen picketing outside of two locations in Racine on Monday, according to a report by The Journal Times, including the 2701 Oakes Road location in Mount Pleasant. The company makes machines in the agricultural industry.
"Our members at CNHi strike for the ability to earn a decent living, retire with dignity and establish fair work rules," said Chuck Browning, the vice president and director of the UAW Agricultural Implement Department, in the news release.

Before the strike was announced on Monday, the union said in a news release on Facebook that UAW and CNH Industrial were still in negotiations.
A vote for strike authorization on April 10 resulted in 98.4 percent of workers voting in favor of a strike, the union said on Facebook at the time.

CNH Industrial told The Journal Times in a statement Monday it "will continue to negotiate in good faith and trust that the Union will do the same."
