The future of Muskego is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Lily Pemble, who are making a positive impact in and around Muskego.

Lily earned the prestigious 2024 Girl Scout Gold Award for her work creating free summer day camps for students with special needs in the Muskego School District. Her project, which addressed the lack of inclusive camp options in her community, included developing Camp Day Kits for two local elementary schools. These kits featured wheelchair-accessible tents, arts and crafts, outdoor games and musical instruments, all designed with adjustable accommodations. Lily’s efforts earned her a national $5,000 scholarship from Girl Scouts of the USA, recognizing her leadership and community impact.

Lily’s goal is for the Camp Day Kits to inspire similar initiatives both nationally and globally, ensuring more children can benefit from enriching camp experiences. She credits the project with teaching her valuable skills in confidence, communication and teamwork, which she plans to carry forward in her education and career.
