Blood Drive To Help New Berlin West Football Team Get A Grant

NEW BERLIN, WI — The School District of New Berlin's next blood drive in August will help New Berlin West's football team raise money.

The school district and Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin will host a blood drive in the district building at 18695 W. Cleveland Ave. between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 2.

For every blood donation, New Berlin West's football team will earn $10, the school said. Donors will receive a code for a Summerfest ticket and a Versiti water bottle, it added.

On top of raising money, each donation will help the football team earn a Summer Step Up Program financial grant, the school said.

"This event is a win for all as the team receives $10 per donation, and donors receive a code for a free ticket to Summerfest," New Berlin West Coach Ben Chossek said in a tweet.
