• House fire causes extensive damage in Brookfield (gmtoday.com) — New Berlin firefighters were among several area departments called in to help battle a serious house fire in Brookfield that heavily damaged a single-family home but left four occupants safely evacuated. Crews attacked flames in the garage and main floor, brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes, and continue to investigate the cause.
