Find New Berlin Cooling Centers Here

Here are two cooling locations in New Berlin amid extreme heat and power outages.

NEW BERLIN, WI β€” The City of New Berlin announced Wednesday a cooling center at the Community Center.

About 6,000 New Berlin residents are without power after Tuesday's storm, the city said.

The Community Center at 14750 W. Cleveland Ave. will open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for residents without power to stay cool and charge their devices.

Water will be available at the facility, but residents must bring their own charging cords, the city said in a statement.

Residents can also go to the New Berlin Public Library at 15105 W. Library Lane to cool down, the city said.

Library hours are Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Masks are recommended for all patrons and staff while in the library but are not required, the city said.
