Food Disposal At New Berlin Recycling Center: See Times Here

The city will let people drop off food at the recycling center after lingering power outages.

NEW BERLIN, WI β€” The city is opening a food disposal site at the New Berlin Recycling Center Friday after lingering power outages due to severe storms.

Residents can come to 3711 S. Casper Drive and drop off food for disposal.

Most food items should be thrown out if the refrigerator they were inside of hasn't run for longer than four hours, the city said.

Here are the hours for the food disposal site:

Friday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The recycling center will be open for yard waste, fallen trees, yard debris and recyclables, the city said. The center is open to residents only and proof of residency such as a driver's license or utility bill are required, it added.
