Moorland Road Water Main Rehabilitation Begins First Phase
Various lane closures are expected in New Berlin as the Moorland Road water main construction begins.
NEW BERLIN, WI — The first phase of the Moorland Road water main rehabilitation project was scheduled to begin on Monday and is expected to last up to seven weeks, according to a news release posted on the City of New Berlin's website.
The project will take four phases, according to the city. Various road closures also began on Monday. Here's what the city is expecting:
- For National Avenue to Churchview Drive, the right northbound lane is closed.
- The right turn lane from National Avenue onto Moorland Road is closed.
- Mayflower Drive will close Monday from Adell Avenue to Moorland Road.
- Mark Drive will remain open until the project is complete on Mayflower Drive and Howard Avenue.
- Moorland Road north from Heatherly Drive to Coffee Road will be one lane.
- Drivers can access Pick 'n Save and the Post Office from National Avenue or Fremont Lane.
The city asked people to drive safely in all construction areas and thanked people for their patience. More information and updates can be found on the city's website.
