New Berlin Police Swears In Three New Officers

The three officers took the oath Monday and will start training next week.

NEW BERLIN, WI β€” The New Berlin Police Department swore in three new police officers Monday.

Scott Johnson, Leena Hamdan and John Leskinen will start police recruit training at the Waukesha County Technical College next week, police said in a Facebook post.

The three are expected to graduate in December, when they will return to the department for four months of field training with a training officer, New Berlin Police Capt. Mike Glider told Patch. They will start work in April 2022, he added.

All three grew up in the area. Johnson grew up in Big Bend; Hamdan grew up in New Berin, and Leskinen grew up in Vernon, police said.
