New Berlin Trick Or Treat Plans And Safety Tips

NEW BERLIN, WI — New Berlin's 2021 trick or treat has been scheduled to take place 4-7 p.m. on Oct. 31.

The annual Halloween celebration was subject to cancelations and uncertainty over the past year during the pandemic. Last year's celebration still took place, although some preventative measures against COVID-19 were recommended and the City asked residents to take personal responsibility.

A year has passed, and although the pandemic is not over, trick or treating is back for New Berlin, according to the Village's website.

Here are some tips from the CDC for a safe trick or treat:

• Wear a mask. Costume masks are not a substitute for other masks. Masks should not be worn by those under two.
• Wash your hands and sanitize them in between houses.
• Stay six feet away from anyone who doesn't live with you.
