OWIs, Kwik Trip Theft And Fraud: New Berlin Police Logs

Here are the New Berlin police logs from June 4-10.

NEW BERLIN, WI β€” The New Berlin Police Department responded to 23 calls from July 2-8. These are some of the incidents reported over the week:

  • A New Berlin resident reported that a firearm was stolen from their vehicle on the 15000 block of West Doverhill Lane.
  • Police arrested an East Troy man after a traffic stop on West National Avenue and South 124th Street for operating while intoxicated for the first time, possession of drugs and felony bail jumping.
  • Police arrested a South Milwaukee woman after a traffic stop on West Howard Avenue and South 124th Street for operating while intoxicated for the first time.
  • Police arrested a Delafield man after a traffic stop on South Moorland Road and Rogers Drive for operating while intoxicated for the first time.
  • Police arrested a Milwaukee man after a traffic stop on West Greenfield Avenue and South Calhoun Road for operating while intoxicated for the first time, possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.
  • Police arrested a New Berlin man after a traffic stop on Glendale Drive and Moorland Road for a third operating while intoxicated offense.
  • Police made contact with a homeless man at Buena Park after getting a call about a suspicious person hanging around the park bathrooms. The man left without incident.
  • A resident reported that they sent gift cards to a person posing as Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ziegler to repay a legal action against them in California. The resident initially thought the person was the Supreme Court justice but later discovered the person was conducting a scam.
  • Kwik Trip reported two incidents in which the same vehicle and suspect drove off without paying for gas.
  • Authorities charged a Milwaukee man for felony first degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer and criminal damage to property after a pursuit with the New Berlin police lead to a crash.
