Man Confronts Police, Creates Scene, Gets Arrested

There are times when cops catch someone doing something wrong.

Then there are the rare occasions when people come to them and create problems where there were none.

This is one of those times.

A 19-year-old man, just two hours removed from an underage drinking ticket, approached a squad car about 3:30 a.m. Monday and asked what the officer was doing there and why he was on "his corner," according to an report.

The officer was patrolling the 1200 block of E. Sommers Drive because .

That didn't seem to matter to the 19-year-old, who became belligerent, started swearing at the officer and created a disturbance in the neighborhood, according to the report.

The officer noted the man had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and emitted a strong odor of intoxicants. Police then found that St. Francis officers arrested the man at 1:40 a.m. for underage drinking.

Oak Creek officers added citations for disorderly conduct, possession of intoxicants by an underage adult -- third time in a year -- and resisting/obstructing police.
