2 Women Arrested With Guns, Knives After Oak Creek Burglary: Cops

Police said they deployed K9 officer Stanley to search the immediate area for a missing AR-15. It was later found in a swamp.

OAK CREEK, WI — Two Milwaukee woman have been arrested and charged after police in Oak Creek say they burglarized a home, stealing several guns, knives and jewelry.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an Oak Creek police officer on patrol found a suspicious vehicle parked in the 10800 block of S. Connor Way at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 24. The officer quickly determined that the two people inside were involved in a burglary at a house in the 10800 block of Christina Court earlier that evening.

When police took a look at the home, they reported the handle of his screen door was off, the screen door was cut and the lock on the rear-sliding door was unlocked.

Police said both women in the car, later identified as Roxanne Horning, 40, and Autumn Hosni, 23, were arrested on suspicion of burglary trespassing and possession of a firearm by a felon. They've since been charged with burglary.

Police call logs indicated that officers searched the vehicle and found ten firearms, including eight long guns and two handguns both in the car and in the immediate area. Police said they also recovered ammunition, knives, jewelry and drug paraphernalia.

Police said they deployed K9 officer Stanley to search the immediate area for a missing AR-15. Stanley searched the area and found the gun in a swamp located south of the house from where it was stolen. The gun was turned over to officers who were working the case that night.
