Cedar Hills Elementary Earns National Honor
Cedar Hills achieved a perfect score in closing achievement gaps in English Language Arts and a nearly perfect score in mathematics.

OAK CREEK, WI — Cedar Hills Elementary School has been named a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.
It's one of eight schools in the state and 362 in the nation to earn this prestigious recognition, and earned the award as an Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing School.
"We celebrate diversity at Cedar Hills," Principal Keith Ruffolo said in a statement. "We live and breathe our school vision statement, 'You Belong Here,' which reflects the care and compassion for students and families and has set a strong foundation for learning."

Cedar Hills achieved a perfect score in closing achievement gaps in English Language Arts and a nearly perfect score in mathematics on their school report card released by the Department of Public Instruction, officials said.
The U.S. Department of Education will honor all 2019 National Blue Ribbon Schools at an awards ceremony on Nov. 14 and 15 in Washington, D.C.
