Drunk Driver Nearly Drove Off I-94 Ledge: Report
An Oak Creek officer caught up to the vehicle and saw the driver was driving his car on its tire rims with a smashed front windshield.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a drunk driver nearly drove off a freeway ledge, and couldn't remember where he had an accident after an officer found him driving around on tire rims with a cracked windshield.
According to Police call logs, a 35-year-old man was behind the wheel of his car at just after 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 when an officer spotted him as he nearly drove off the ledge of I-94 at the W. College Ave. off-ramp.
Police said the officer caught up to the vehicle and saw the driver was driving his car on its tire rims with a smashed front windshield, call logs stated.

Police said the driver failed standard field sobriety tests, and returned a .167 blood alcohol concentration on a preliminary breath test - which is greater than the legal limit for drunken driving in Wisconsin.
According to police, the officer questioned the driver, who was unable to say where he was involved in a crash. Sheriff's deputies searched the area for signs of a crash however did not find any evidence.

Police cited the driver for improper tire thread depth, having an open liquor container in his vehicle, and his first drunken driving offense.
