Hit-And-Run Texter Drove Through Water Street Brewery Parking Lot
A witness told police the driver drove over a curb and down the grass onto Drexel Ave.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say they've tracked down a hit-and-run suspect after he was texting and driving and drove through the Water Street Brewery parking area.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, a person called 911, saying a red sedan crashed in the parking lot at Water Street Brewery at just after 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 21. The witness told police the driver drove over a curb and down the grass onto Drexel Ave.
Police reportedly checked the area, and did not find the vehicle - but did run the vehicle's plate after a witness gave police a description. When police spoke with the vehicle's owner, he said his son was probably the one behind the wheel when the accident happened.

According to police, officers eventually caught up with the vehicle's 24-year-old driver. When questioned by police, he said he was texting while driving and hit the curb. He told police he panicked and drove off. Police cited him for hit-and-run.
