OAK CREEK, WI — The City of Oak Creek Common Council approved a final subdivision plat and condominium plats for the Lakeshore Commons project's first phase on Tuesday, allowing F Street Development to market and coordinate sales of the first expected homes there, according to council documents.

Real estate agents have already begun to accept offers for the homes which were contingent on Tuesday's approval, according to a report by The Milwaukee Business Journal. F Street Development's Scott Lurie told the Business Journal the first homes could be ready to move in by the fall. The properties started showing up through online real estate websites as early as October 2021.

The subdivision plat is the first step in creating a new subdivision. It creates the blocks and dedicates areas for the streets, said Doug Seymour, the city's director of community development, in the meeting. The development is slated to eventually bring hundreds of single-family homes and apartments to lakefront land off of 4005 Lake Vista Parkway in multiple phases.

The project advertises itself on its website as an environment that celebrates "modern families;" meaning a variety of housing types that allow for a "balanced community."

Several of the single-family homes that have been listed for sale already are asking for prices between $435,000 to $823,000, the development's website shows.
