Marshall told Patch Wednesday she appreciated the race with Verhalen, and for everything Verhalen and incumbent Toman have done for the 4th District. Marshall said among her priorities is the lakefront and development there, plus police and fire services, and how the city is working to make sure there is appropriate coverage for everything being developed such as the Lakeshore Commons housing project.

Marshall said she'd like to look into initiatives for aging in place, and how it couples with zoning plans. Another point Marshall had brought up during the lead-up to Tuesday's election was how the city can work with companies in employing Oak Creek High School Grads.
"I want to work with the businesses because I understand the quality of students that are coming out at the high school because I work with them every day," said Marshall, who helps run various STEM-related clubs at the school. "I want to be sure that those businesses that are looking to Oak Creek for a home understand our students, that we are producing students that can work for them to start to help close that skills gap."
