Man Arrested After Fight With Villa Vista Worker

The 48-year-old allegedly put hotel worker in headlock and strangled her in altercation Saturday morning.

A 48-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for battery and strangulation following a violent altercation with a worker at , 8060 S. 27th St.

According to an Oak Creek police report:

The worker told police the man became angry just before noon Saturday when she asked for his drivers' license.

The man said he could get his son's drivers' license, but the woman said she did not want it if his son was not staying in the room.

She tried closing the door but the man put her in a headlock. He punched the woman in the head, grabbed her by the throat, pushed her up against the wall and put his thumb on her Adam's apple so she could not breathe for three seconds.

He then threw her against a cart and left.

When police found the man, he told officers she attacked him and when she reached toward the cart, thought she was going for a gun.

Police arrested the man for felony strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor battery.

He has not yet been charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
