Motorcyclist Injured In Accident, Another In Assault On Day of Bike Blessing

Police responded to a few motorcycle-related calls Sunday during Original Bike Blessing, an event that drew hundreds of motorcyclists to the Legion grounds in Oak Creek.

Oak Creek police responded to a few incidents involving motorcycles Sunday, on the Legion grounds, 9327 S. Shepard Ave.

According to Oak Creek police reports:

A 35-year-old Oak Creek man showed up at the , 301 W. Ryan Road, with a gash to his head and bleeding about 1:35 p.m.

He told police a 34-year-old Oak Creek man came up from behind and punched him twice in the head before witnesses seperated the two. He said it was possibly related to a past incident in which they crashed each other's motorcycles.

The suspect could not be located Sunday and police were still investigating.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital after crashing his motorcycle at the intersection of Puetz and Shepard.

The man took the corner too fast and lost control of his motorcycle about 3:35 p.m., hitting his head on the pavement and injuring his right leg. He was not wearing a helmet.

He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Police also arrested a motorcyclist, a 51-year-old West Allis man, for drunken driving and speeding in the 700 block of E. Puetz Road about 4:45 p.m.
