Oak Creek Car Thief Did Not Get Very Far: Report
The vehicle owner told police that they had a key fob on them, which is why the vehicle didn't get very far when the suspect tried taking it

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say they're investigating a car theft case after a suspect tried stealing a person's car — yet didn't get too far before running away.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, an employee of Campione Enterprises, 2201 W. Southbranch Blvd. called police at just after 10 p.m. on Nov. 3 to report that someone had stolen their vehicle and hit a semi truck just down the street.
The vehicle owner told police that they had a key fob on them, which is why the vehicle didn't get very far when the suspect tried making their getaway.

According to police, the vehicle owner told police they left the vehicle parked along S. Reinhart Drive and went into the building to get ready for work. When they came outside only two minutes later, the vehicle was found wedged against a semi trailer outside Reinhart Foods. It was still running.
Police are continuing to investigate this case.
