Oak Creek Council Will Decide On Interim Mayoral Plan Tuesday

Aldermen set to meet for first time since death of Mayor Dick Bolender.

The Oak Creek Common Council will decide how to temporarily fill the office of mayor when it meets Tuesday night for the first time since the death of Mayor Dick Bolender.

The council will begin the meeting by addressing Bolender's death and approving a resolution honoring his service to the city.

Then aldermen will decide their next course of action regarding the mayoral seat. City officials had to research the municipal code to determine the city’s succession plan and will present multiple options to the council.
