Oak Creek Issues Temporary Burn Ban

Ban comes after fire during Wednesday's fireworks and the extremely dry weather conditions. Residents can't start any type of outdoor fire except for grills.

Following during the Fourth of July fireworks, the city of Oak Creek has issued a temporary burn ban.

The ban prohibits residents from starting any type of outdoor fire with the exception of grills, though grills are not allowed on balconies. It is in place until further notice.

"This ban includes fires in all outdoor fireplaces, pits, camp fires, bon fires, and any other burning of yard waste or debris anywhere," according to a news release issued Thursday afternoon.
