OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek are investigating a series of package thefts in the city that happened on Dec. 6.

The string of thefts reads like a connect-the-dots challenge: each time police responded to a call about a package theft, they found an empty package on a resident's front porch that belonged to someone in a different neighborhood or down the street.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, a resident on the 7500 block of S. Quincy Ave. reported having three packages taken from her porch. The home owner told police that Amazon delivered the packages to her front door during the afternoon. When police investigated, they found an empty box addressed to a home on S. Pine Ave.
