UPDATED: Oak Creek's Cold Stone Creamery Is Closed

As reader Amy pointed out on the Oak Creek Patch Facebook page, the at 8880 S. Howell Ave. has closed.

I'm not sure when it happened and I have not been able to get in touch with anyone at Cold Stone. Its listed phone number goes to voicemail, and an e-mail message to the corporate office has not been returned.

(update 11:20 a.m. Wednesday: I received a brief e-mail from Jean Smoke of the Cold Stone corporate office, who said, "Although we never like to see a store close, the decision to close a store is that of our individual franchisees. At this time I can only confirm that our records show the store has closed.")

If anyone has information, by all means, please post in the comments.
