Oak Creek Woman Cited For Alcohol, Drug Offenses After Crash

Woman was involved in one-vehicle accident Sunday morning on Nicholson Road.

A woman received citations for drug- and alcohol-related offenses after she crashed her car on Nicholson Road early Sunday morning.

According to an report:

The 18-year-old was southbound about 2:15 a.m. when her vehicle left the roadway in the 10600 block. He car continued traveling in the ditch before striking a culvert area on the north side of a residential driveway, causing the vehicle to go up and over the driveway and into the ditch on the other side.

Police found the vehicle with severe damage to the front end and broken windows. The vehicle's undercarriage was possibly damaged due to the rocks surrounding the culvert.

An officer noted that the woman, while talking on her cell phone afterward, had slow and slurred speech. She failed sobriety tests and registered a preliminary blood-alcohol content of .12.

Police also found a purple glass pipe in the center console with burned residue consistent with marijuana; a plastic bag with less than a gram of a substance likely marijuana; and a driver's license in the woman's name showing a different birthday than her real one.

The 18-year-old was arrested for failure to keep vehicle under control, drunken driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.
